We’ve been wanting to get a treadmill for two years and we finally have. I sit behind this computer all day and get virtually no physical activity, so this is going to be great for me. Sudi loves it too. A neat thing about this treadmill is you can get videos that take you through a routine (and scenery). When the video shows a hill it plays a sound that tells the treadmill to adjust its incline to simulate the hill. It also changes speed as you go. We haven’t tried it yet, but I’m looking forward to the Hawaii workout.

Proverbs 16:9
“In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.”
The last couple months have been a whirlwind of events for us. It all started in August when within a week several things broke in our house, it seemed like our list of things to either repair, replace, or return was endless. Our last straw was when our car broke and we spent all kinds of money getting it “repaired.” Well, not really repaired as we found out only a week after we paid the bill. So we decided with much fear and trembling on my part and then much prayer to purchase a new car. We were led to the right car, the right dealer, the right price and the right monthly payment. We bought our first new car a Black 2005 Corolla.
A couple weeks after that we celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary at Disney, it was wonderful! When we returned from our two day escapade, we got a certified letter in the mail. A notice to vacate our apartment in one month. When Steven called me at work with the news I couldn’t believe it. Where do we go? What do we do? But again the hand of God orchestrated our steps and that same day I made an appointment to see the apartment we moved in a week ago. Our meeting with the land lady that Saturday was a success. We applied, were approved and once again the price, location and timing were perfect.
I love this verse in Proverbs. When Steven and I got married we decided the car we owned, would last for at least another 5 years, our desire was to buy a home before we had to replace the car. We also swore we would never move into a more expensive apartment, since paying rent is for all practical purposes like throwing your money out the window. But here we are making (small) car payments each month and living in a more expensive apartment.
Yesterday I decided to blog about this and go public with my gratitude. We love our little black car and our one bedroom is a dream! Steven and I are young, healthy and have jobs that we love. For whatever reason the Lord has brought these unexpected expenses to our lives but with that HE has also brought the means to provide for them. A few other times in our marriage we have been puzzled at how different our plans are from the Lord’s. But at the end of the day I look around and I see that we have been very blessed and for that we are deeply grateful.
Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, those who have been called according to his purpose.”

Here are some pics of our new little apartment. We really like this place. It’s quiet and has nice views from the balcony. You can see the cross on top of Mt. Helix on a clear day. The place was freshly remodeled with white kitchen cabinets and tile flooring. It’s nice to know some places actually put some of that overpriced California rent money back into their properties! We certaintly weren’t expecting it.

Saturday October 15th. Moving Day. Our day began at 6am followed by coffee at BK and Budget truck at 7:15am. Our helpers arrived at 7:55am. The “dynamo team” Steven, Cindy, Dan and Mark had everything loaded in the truck by 8:25am. We said good bye to our old home and drove 10 miles east to La Mesa still in San Diego county to our new cozy apartment. At 9:30am we were all done and concluded it was a bit early for lunch… so we seized the opportunity and went to Wal-Mart for a shopping spree. When we got home our family went beyond the call of duty, Mark and Mom assembled our new futon and Dan installed all computers to perfection in no time.
Finally “Party Time” came … the long awaited visit to “Fuddruckers.” The best burgers in town and a fabulous selection of cookies and brownies. Some people say moving is a hassle, but for us it was great fun. We had the best help in the world and things couldn’t have gone better. Later that day Steven and I drove by a flower shop that said “October 15 – Sweetness Day.” And that it was!

Last September 27th I hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to inaugurate my new office. When I first started working in August I walked into a disaster zone, the furniture was ages old and every thing was disorganized and cluttered. I got rid of the clutter in about a day, most things went to the trash. Then my boss told me “new furniture” was on the way. When it finally arrived I was thrilled, it is mostly black, my favorite color for decoration and light maple. I love it! My favorite part is all the pictures of my baby love. Lotsa pictures, flowers, candles, a teddy bear named “Granola” …ah! and an ocean view.

I took our move to La Mesa as an opportunity to change the name of my business to DreamDolphin Media (formerly Dream Dolphin Enterprise). The name is more compact and better reflects the nature of my business (web site development).
We’ll have pics of our moving day and our new place shortly!
