We went on a photo shoot Saturday. Our first stop was Mission Bay. I was armed with the camera and Sudi was armed with a variety of bread. We found a bunch of little black duck-like birds, a few pigeons and a couple ducks. Did you ever notice ducks are always married? I won’t even mention the evil Seagulls.
After Mission Bay Sudi suggested we look for some ducks at the lake by our apartment, Lake Murray. We discovered that it is a really great spot for bird feeding and photography. We found the same little black birds, a bunch of ducks and some really big swans (though we didn’t get to them on this outing).
Here are a few shots from our hunt. Mission Bay and Lake Murray.

We recently read this inspiring story and decided to make these words our Mission Statement. A young pastor from Zimbabwe, Africa once wrote this in His journal.
I’m part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure. I’m finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way rough, my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won’t give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me–my banner will be clear! I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.
A few months later he died as a martyr. He was killed for sharing his faith.

Our new Photo Gallery (update: we now user flickr) is ready. Give it a look! We loaded it up with all of the best photos we have from the last five years. We’ll upload our wedding album a little bit later. Here are a few shots from last weekend when we had a storm with hale and a rainbow. We were lucky enough to photograph a double rainbow.

I feel like an auto mechanic working on a lemon. I’ve never encountered so many problems with my server. All within 12 hours:
- MySQL’s user table corrupted, MySQL crashed, /tmp/mysql.sock link vanished, MySQL wouldn’t start
(this ruined our plan to feed some ducks at Mission Bay)
- Apache crashed for no good reason, but restarted on second try
- My apache error log reached 2 GB and started overflowing
- I found that my HTTPS service was dead all night long!
- My datacenter decided they won’t do kernel upgrades anymore, so I did it myself, borked it and then had to learn to fix grub.conf
I usually don’t have this many problems in a month! I’ve learned a few things though and that’s good.

Many years ago, my friend Pat told me “the only thing you take to Heaven is your children.” I remember thinking that was interesting but later I came to understand it. It is not money, or a job, or a house that we take to Heaven, but the people we lead to Christ. When we get to Heaven the only family members we’ll meet there are those who trusted Jesus as their Savior. Our time with my cousin was amazing! Vivi surrendered her life to Christ on Sunday. She prayed to accept the gift of eternal life and gave her life to Jesus. Her conversion had been in the works for many years, the Lord had been pursuing her for a long time.
That is my desire for all my family. If you ask me, that’s all that matters when it’s all said and done.
“Jesus declared, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again‘”. John 3:3

Primichi- noun ‘pree-MEE-chee’ from the root “Prima” which means cousin.
My cousin Viviana came to San Diego for a few days. We had a great time! Steven and I took her to our favorite places….La Jolla, La Valencia Hotel, Del Mar, En Fuego, Sea Port Village and our church (it was a beautiful service). We enjoyed the sunny moments and the rainy ones. We shared lots of laughs. My cousin is on her way home right now. She left us with great memories and a truck load of Mexican candy. Mmmmmmm!!!

I’ve been working on a charity site with one of my clients and friend in the UK called The Charity Million. The goal is to raise £1 Million ($1.7 million) every year for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. You might have seen pixel ad sites before, but as far as I know we’re the first to set one up in partnership with a major charity. The idea is for companies and families to make donations in exchange for an ad on the homepage. If we get enough press coverage the homepage ad space will be worth quite a bit and companies will be running in with their donations and pledges.
