  I think in my heart I knew this moment would always come. I was your very first American friend, little girls at the pool playing with a green nerf ball. Who would have thought that a little red headed MN girl would be friends with a little Mexican girl. Amazing! Our lives have intermingled ever since, like threads from an intricate weaving. My heart rejoices with you today!

  God has blessed you well and this is one of his gifts. Soon you will have your American passport and you can come and go where ever you want from this side of the border, as an American. I love you with all my heart.

  Sudi, congratulations. I remember standing in the airport in San Diego waiting for you to arrive and meeting you for the first time. I remember our walks around the block at Balboa talking about your mom, citizenship, and yes, Steven. I remember our search for an immigration attourney. I remember our finding Mr. Linkon. I have so many memories of our years together at Balboa Community Church. I remember you becoing the first licensed “Minister” in the C&MA. And now you are a citizen of the USA. Sudi you have come a long way with God’s help. I count it a privilege to have been a small part of that.

Not only are you now a citizen who chose to be an American, America has chosen you too; much like our relationship to Jesus Christ who grants us citizenship in Heaven as we choose Him and He calls us.   I have sat here in tears reading your web site and looking at the pictures. You worked hard for your big day last Friday. I would love to see the photo album that is pictured. Steven’s testimony is so moving and such a love letter to you and to the Lord! I hope you don’t mind I’m sharing it with others here in the office. We are all proud to know you!
