It’s beginning to look a lot like…Spring???
This past week we noticed the neighbors’ trees starting to grow leaves and bloom flowers. The grass in our backyard by the door is starting to wake up and turn green too. Wonderful.
Spring is here!
But, Texas weather is really exciting. One day it’s 70 degrees and sunny. The next day, while listening to the radio, you hear “csssssh… beeeeeeep! This is an emergency alert…” and an hour later you’ve got two Christmas ferns in your front yard! On average, Benbrook gets less than an inch of snow each year.
Here are some pictures and a video (below the slidesnow- I mean show)from our street. Don’t forget to look at General Wintermix, a snowman who showed up in our backyard today. Did I just say that? What, “our backyard” or “snowman?” Both!

We got 1 - 2 inches in our area. It’s all gone now except for some dying snowmen. The news said some places 10 - 20 miles north of us got up to 9 inches! That’s like 10 years worth of snow dropped in 6 hours. Pretty neeeeeeeeeat.
