Steven spent 7 hours planting a new garden this past Sunday. We learned a lot from our first Pentunia garden. This time Steven meticulously installed a weed-blocker cloth. That took hours, because the cloth needs to be measured, cut, and stapled. Also, the cloth needs to go around the sprinkler system lids, not an easy task. We got some beautiful magenta mums. They had not bloomed when we bought them last week at Home Depot, now from my window I can see them and they are all opened up and happy! This garden is very different from the Petunia garden, this one is much cleaner and the colors are very Christmasy!
You will notice our American Flag theme. We are feeling very patriotic in light of the coming Election. McCain-Maverick insipres us to display our flag every chance we get. That is part of the reason why we chose red flowers.
Steven did all the work and hard labor, all I did was wash the car and take a zillion pictures. Good Job Darling!

This is the first time I’ve seen our little old Benbrook make any of the “top cities” lists.
Want to retire near the water, but without paying premium prices for a home? Residents who buy real estate in these towns see their incomes go the furthest.
#8 Benbrook, TX
Median home price (2007): $145,136
Median family income: $76,188
This little Ft. Worth bedroom community is on the straight and narrow – bars are forbidden in Benbrook, as is the sale of hard liquor. But who says a little modern Prohibition can’t be fun? Residents opt for outdoor entertainment instead – swimming, fishing, and boating in nearby Benbrook Lake, or golfing, horseback riding, and picnicking in the surrounding parkland.

We began the grand celebration Saturday morning. We headed to the California of Texas (not really), the great city of Austin. You will notice the third slide, it’s the summer home Steven bought me in West Austin.
We spent the day and night at Barton Creek Golf Resort. It was spectacular! We sat by the pool all day Saturday. Ate great food and enjoyed a strawberry smoothie in the kitty pool. The service was great, the view breath-taking and the weather glorious!
We ordered a delicious Kahlua Chocolate cake for two around midnight, it was “out of this world.” At around 4 a.m. I woke up feeling a bit chilli, soon we were wide awake and taking silly pictures by the mirror. We returned late last night.
Today we enjoyed a romantic dinner at home. My honey-chef made us Organic Pesto Tortillini. I got perfume and 2 dozen roses on top of it. We are happy and grateful for 5 years of bliss.
Still very much in love…
Today we celebrate Gm and Gp as well, today would’ve been their 67th wedding Anniversary.
