I think it proves that we as a nation are still mostly conservative... and perhaps just voted for candidate without really knowing (or caring) how liberal they are. And another thing I'd like to say is that it's not true when those against Prop 8 say it will not affect the way religious organizations operate. Remember a few years ago when Catholic Charities in Boston closed their adoption operation because they refused the government's demand to place children with gay couples?
