Frozen Streets
When we went to bed last night it was raining sleet. Whatever that is. When we woke up this morning it was 20 degrees and the street was covered with ice. Our pansies didn’t seem to mind – you can’t kill ‘em! All the schools closed and the neighborhood kids took the wheels off their skateboards to go snowboarding (good idea!). We had an ice storm earlier this month but the difference is that while that one produced huge icicles, this one actually froze the streets solid. Here are some photos.
Here are more pictures on the local news site. The third shot is mine.
PS. It’s not like this all winter long. Snow 0 – 2 days a year (PERFECT) and ice probably about the same. I don’t remember seeing any ice in Benbrook until we bought our house.

Can you make a snow man from that white stuff on the ground? It is going to be hot today here in San Diego. About 80 along the coast. I think I will go put on my shorts.
