We went to Church on Christmas Eve for the candle lighting service then had Christmas at Mom & Dad’s house with all the Gliebes, Lucy, Bob, Mark and David. It was a lot of fun.
SudiRoo got me Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis, a book light, “Go Fish” cards, a super portable tripod and a flickr Pro account (unlimited photo storage space, etc.). It really is the best way to store, organize and share your photos (has an API too). Sudi got some perfume, all kinds of purses, lots of clothes, boots and a custom CD. Lucy got a bunch of Joyce Meyer tapes and some other goodies. I made two oil paintings for Dan and Mom & Dad. Lucy made us beautiful oil painted aprons and brought the Gliebes some of that fine Mexican chocolate.
Here are our Christmas-time pictures, powered by my new flickr account (which is where we’ll upload all our future photos). Or, visit the actual Christmas 2006 gallery on flickr.
The Thanksgiving message from Pastor Jeremiah was superb. A timely reminder of what Thanksgiving is. A time for family and close relationships, a time to remember the blessings God has given us, a time to reflect on what this past year has brought, and a time to respond by giving to those who are less fortunate. My favorite part of the message however was an excersice he gave us to do.
Make a list of all the blessings God has given you, include at least 15-20 items.
Once the list is done, erase or delete each item and picture what your life would be like if you didn’t have that particular blessing.
After you have deleted all items, write them ALL again and thank the Lord with a grateful heart.
The greatest blessings in our lives are those that we are so tempted to take for granted.
As pastor said, it has been found that the degree to which a person is blessed is proportionate to the degree to which that person is ungrateful. Give a homeless person a piece of bread and he will be far more grateful than a rich man at a lavished banquet.
But souldn’t it be the other way? Shouldn’t those of us who have been given so much be the most grateful?
Psalm 30:12 ”O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever”.
Our trip to Puerto Vallarta was unforgetable. We ate the most delicious food, enjoyed beautiful sunsets, had a great time with Lucy and friends and rested. We also celebrated our third wedding anniversary on September 8th. It was truly wonderful. We created 6 galleries, click on the pictures below, they will take you to all the pictures on that category. Enjoy!

Dad retired from 41 years of work at BF Goodrich today! We went to a party at his work then went out for lunch. It was a lot of fun. It was good to see how much his coworkers respect him and how much they learned from him over the years. We had cake, Dad gave a great speech, and they all cheered as Dad drove us out in a little golf cart.
It makes me very happy that Dad is now retired. He worked very long and very hard. Through his work he provided our family with everything we needed and more. I know that I enjoy the job I do now with computers from the comfort of my home because of my Dad’s hard work. Dad introduced Dan and I to the world of computers.
Enjoy the retired life, Dad. Enjoy “long lunches” and great travels!

I took some shots of Sudi in the early morning. They turned out really nice #1 because Sudi is very pretty and #2 because the sun was just above the horizon.

Many years ago, my friend Pat told me “the only thing you take to Heaven is your children.” I remember thinking that was interesting but later I came to understand it. It is not money, or a job, or a house that we take to Heaven, but the people we lead to Christ. When we get to Heaven the only family members we’ll meet there are those who trusted Jesus as their Savior. Our time with my cousin was amazing! Vivi surrendered her life to Christ on Sunday. She prayed to accept the gift of eternal life and gave her life to Jesus. Her conversion had been in the works for many years, the Lord had been pursuing her for a long time.
That is my desire for all my family. If you ask me, that’s all that matters when it’s all said and done.
“Jesus declared, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again‘”. John 3:3

Primichi- noun ‘pree-MEE-chee’ from the root “Prima” which means cousin.
My cousin Viviana came to San Diego for a few days. We had a great time! Steven and I took her to our favorite places….La Jolla, La Valencia Hotel, Del Mar, En Fuego, Sea Port Village and our church (it was a beautiful service). We enjoyed the sunny moments and the rainy ones. We shared lots of laughs. My cousin is on her way home right now. She left us with great memories and a truck load of Mexican candy. Mmmmmmm!!!
